“Whispers through the poppies”
An Original mixed media painting on board.
by Brenda Herd
In this mixed media floral, Brenda Herd invites us into a dreamlike meadow where light, texture, and colour entwine. Using sculpted relief with texture paste and paint, she lifts the blossoms from the canvas, giving each poppy a tactile presence that seems to sway in the breeze. The fiery reds rise against a golden field beneath a shifting sky, blending depth and movement to evoke both fragility and strength. Whispers Through the Poppies is as much felt as it is seen — a conversation between earth and sky, silence and bloom.
