Ready to unlock your creativity and fall in love with pastels? This workshop will help you explore the beautiful, versatile world of soft pastels—whether you’re picking them up for the first time or you’re an experienced artist seeking fresh inspiration.

What You’ll Learn

With step-by-step guidance, you’ll discover how to:
🎨 Compose your own piece using the elements provided
🎨Blend soft, dreamy backgrounds
🎨 Layer colours to build depth and vibrancy
🎨 Create textures that make your work pop
🎨 Use clever artist’s tricks to achieve crisp, professional-looking details

By the end of the session, you’ll have your very own version of Bethlyn’s delightful ‘Birds before the Dawn Chorus’ —a project that’s both charming and fun to recreate. The best part? You’re encouraged to add your own creative twist, making it a truly personal piece. Composing your very own piece using the elements provided eg. using one, two or three different UK birds in your artwork.
You’ll also have the option to purchase a mount for your artwork at a small extra cost—but no pressure, it’s entirely up to you.
